About Me

My photo
I am a native of Arkansas, but now reside in Georgia. I love the Razorbacks. I love the south. I love sitting on the screened in porch sippin' lemonade. I love every shade of lipgloss on earth. I love bright colors. I love laying in the hammock listening to the birds and in the same breath I am terrified of birds! I love pedicures with cajun shrimp nail polish in the summer. I love listening to babies laugh. I love the smell of laundry detergent. This blog is all about cooking, crafts, decorating, my journey to getting into shape, and anything else I can think of! Thanks for stopping by!

Local Business of the Month: The Fickle Pickle

"Can I have the Grouper Sandwich with the Caribbean Clam Chowder please?" That's pretty much what I say every time I walk into The Fickle Pickle. Although everything I have tried is amazing, I keep going back to that Caribbean Clam Chowder. The broth is made of saffron, coconut milk, and orange juice. I have tried over and over to recreate it, but just can't get it right! I was told tonight that they get death threats when they don't have it! I can totally understand that.

Fickle Pickle has such an awesome atmosphere. The restaurant is inside of an old victorian style home from the 1800's. It's on Canton Street in the lovely Historic Roswell. You can sit inside one of the many rooms or outside on the front or back porch. When you walk in, you go straight to the counter to order. Above the counter are chalk boards filled with delicious goodies. Anything from their Asian Salmon Salad to a Brie BLT to their Pimento Cheese and Bacon Mac and Cheese Bowl. I happen to think their hamburger is the best I have found in the Atlanta area. They rate their dinner sandwiches based on how many napkins it will take!! And of course you have to try out their famous fried pickles and hot potato chips served with blue cheese dip! And what's the most important thing of all....DESSERT! They know how to do dessert right! Carrot cake cookies, toffee bars, and red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing oh my! Check out their unique menu!

The staff is the friendliest around. Tonight they brought us our own citronella candle since we were sitting outside and they were always right there to refill our drinks.

Kids eat free on Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights are 1/2 price bottles of wine!

Not only is this an amazing restaurant, but it is an awesome venue. They have a barn behind the house that hosts pretty much any event. From a baby shower to a rehearsal dinner. They also cater and I can't think of a better place to cater an event...YUMMY!

Check out North Fulton Shops for a coupon! Make sure you pick up a Fickle Pickle card. They stamp it each time you come in!

The Fickle Pickle is open:
Monday 11am - 3pm
Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 9pm
Closed on Sundays

The next to photos are of the barn that you can host events in!
