About Me

My photo
I am a native of Arkansas, but now reside in Georgia. I love the Razorbacks. I love the south. I love sitting on the screened in porch sippin' lemonade. I love every shade of lipgloss on earth. I love bright colors. I love laying in the hammock listening to the birds and in the same breath I am terrified of birds! I love pedicures with cajun shrimp nail polish in the summer. I love listening to babies laugh. I love the smell of laundry detergent. This blog is all about cooking, crafts, decorating, my journey to getting into shape, and anything else I can think of! Wedding of the Year!

*****This post is overdue, but I have been out of town so please excuse my tardiness!

Where to begin with this wedding......ONCE UPON A TIME!

The groom, Clay Garrett, and I have been good friends since we were 12 years old. We started going to the same school in the 7th grade and he and his twin, Jonah, had a locker under me. You better believe I became popular real quick because of this! I had a locker above "The Garrett Twins".....every 7th grade girl's dream!!! Clay and I remained great friends ever since then....18 years to be exact and that does NOT seem possible!

Now we will move over to Navina. I had a trip scheduled to go to Miami for work and Clay happened to be there for school. I told him I was coming down for the week and he was so excited for me to meet his girlfriend, Navina. This was odd behavior for Clay as he had never been overly excited for me to meet a girlfriend. I ended up having to cancel the trip and his response to this was "dang, I really wanted you to meet Navina"! The first thing I told my husband after hanging up the phone was "I think Clay found his wife".

Clay and Navina ended up being in Atlanta for a little while for school and we had them over. This was the first time I had ever met her. She was so beautiful and you could tell that Clay was absolutely smitten by her. I was so happy for him.

When they finally got engaged and the save the date cards went out, my girlfriends and I joked that this was going to be the wedding of the year.....even better than the Royal Wedding. We were right! They both were glowing and there was so much love. The traditions of an Indian Wedding are amazing. I was in awe the whole time.

I can't thank Clay and Navina enough for letting me be a part of their special day. I wish you a life full of happiness. Below are some of the pictures I snapped while we were there. Double click on them to make them larger to get a better view.
